Eddy is a UK-made whole-house electronic descaler. One unit goes on your incoming water pipe, and all of the water in your house is treated. Eddy sends an electromagnetic wave through two coils wound round the pipe. This changes the adhesion properties of the limescale, so newly formed deposits are soft and powdery and can be cleaned off easily.
